- 0.2 m of light fusible interfacing
- All-purpose thread
- Leather needle
- Teflon foot
- 1x invisible zipper (length 20-25 cm)

Construction Order
The following points break down all the step you need to complete this project. However, please note that they only cover the basics!
Reminder that seam allowances are 1 cm wide, unless stated otherwise.
- Fuse the facing pieces on medium heat. **Protect the fabric with a pressing cloth between the iron and the interfacing.
- Sew the back darts.
- Sew the centre back seam (bottom to marking). Press open.
- Attach the invisible zipper.
- Sew the front pieces (waist to marking).
- Sew the slit.
- Sew the front and back panels at the side seams.
- Sew the facings at the side seams.
- Attach the facing to the waist. Under stitch the waist seam and fold the facing inside the garment.
- Hem the bottom of the skirt (turn once 3 cm).

I love this! (and your entire blog – you’re creating some incredible work!) Do you recommend a different fabric for a similar look as the picture? Not necessarily wanting to do faux leather.
Thanks! I think any kind of woven fabric will do, as long as it’s thick enough. Something like a suiting fabric should be good (gabardine, twill, heavy crepe…).
i really enjoyed making this skirt ! I had to go down 2 sizes but it was a breathe to make.
